When you're hiring a wedding photographer, it's indubitable you're getting someone to create a visual, historical record of your wedding day. You're assured you'll get all obvious wedding junctures & moments, but there's more to it. My collections include A LOT more than me just showing up to your wedding and taking photos. You want palpable sentiment and honest moments captured. As well as artistic imagery you won't just post on social media, but will print, and frame, and have displayed on the walls of your home; turning your own living space into an art gallery of your wedding day.

The Timeline
One

You're here on my website. You like my photos, you like my approach to weddings, or you think I'm cool. (Maybe a little of all three). You send me a hail (PS - I'm a trekkie), also known as filling out the contact form.
Two

Three

I send a hail back (via email) and we set a consultation (video or phone call). We discuss your wedding, I send you full galleries to look through, I answer any questions you have.
We all decide we're cool and I'm a great fit to fill the photographer void you have. I send over a contract and retainer (35% of the total cost). You sign and pay that, you're officially booked.
Four

Five

We send emails back and forward as needed. I answer questions, I can help with the timeline, I ask for a family photo list.
Holy crap! It's your wedding day! I follow you around paparazzi style, you pretend I'm not there. I document your day the way it unfolds and also get the 100 family photo requests your mom has.
Six

I get to editing your photos. I share some previews on social media as I work. 6 weeks later (at maximum, I usually have photos complete sooner), I send you your online gallery. You pick 25 images to have printed for free, I order 5x7s of them, mail them to you with a USB drive of ALL your images.

She genuinely wants to capture the best of YOU rather than the best of someone you’re trying to be.
Logan + Lucy

There aren’t enough words to accurately say thank you to Mary for everything related to our wedding. When looking for a wedding photographer, I’ll admit I was picky. I’ve been a part of enough weddings to know how uncomfortable it can be when a photographer pushes you to be who you’re not for the sake of a good picture. I knew from the first ten minutes meeting with Mary that this would not be the case with her. She genuinely wants to capture the best of YOU rather than the best of someone you’re trying to be. It wasn’t until I met with Mary that I even considered doing engagement pictures and, when we did get them done, they were authentically “us.” I didn’t think it could get any better till I started seeing the sneak peaks of our wedding pictures. Even more so, though, Mary was observant throughout the wedding day and, when she could see my husband and I getting worn out by all the attention and people around us, she quietly took us off to another room for a while to get some more pictures but also to give us time to take a breath and enjoy the moment together. She stuck up for us and what we wanted out of pictures even when others were pushing for something else. Mary went above and beyond in everything she did for us, and we will never be able to say thank you enough.
Important Notes
I guess you could also call these policies.

Retouching/Photoshopping
I'm a body positive activist. Therefore, I do not photoshop anyone. I'm happy to clean up blemishes because I know those can be out of your control, but I will not photoshop or manipulate your body in any way. Such retouching does more harm than good and I refuse to add to the problem. You're fantastic just the way you are.

Anti Discrimination
I do not discriminate. Your religious ideology, sexual identity, ancestry, political affiliations, pizza topping choices & regular coffee order are of no concern of mine, nor are they any of my business. The only thing I'll ask you is what your pronouns are.

Train Tracks
I will not take photos of clients on train tracks. I will also not get on train tracks to take photos. Railroad tracks are property of the railroad company and simply being on them is trespassing; that's a felony. Getting that Pinterest cute photo for you isn't worth a felony charge to me. Additionally, it's just dangerous. I will not put you, or myself, in harms way. Not sorry.
